The beginning

As I write this, I have so many thoughts and topics running through my head, but I like to be unique. I like to do things my own way. I've been doing a lot of research on blogs and what to do, what not to do and have decided, I'm going to do this my own way, like I do everything else. You like me or you don't. There may be times when this is just a rant and rave kind of page, but there's going to be a lot of cool stuff that you can do with your kids. It is summer after all, and I haven't found much that large families with a limited budget can do during the summer, so, I just wanted to throw out some of my own ideas.
I have looked everywhere, in my area, to find something cheap, close, and easy to do with 5 children. I don't know about your area, but mine sucks unless you have a boat load of cash (just so happens, we don't).
My husband is the bread winner, and I'm the kind of old fashioned wife. I stay at home with the kids and take care of things, I can't work, therefore, I believe that it's my duty. My husband makes a good enough living to support this family comfortably, so I try to take care of him also.
Last summer, we took a few trips to the beach. We had an awesome time! Something for all the kids, no matter their ages. We built sand castles, played ball, had picnics, swam, and watched the smaller kids chase the waves. We had the best time, hopefully, we can do it again this year. I can't wait!

There is also a zoo about an hour away. This place was great for our budget! For around $20, all 7 of us were able to go, spend the day, tour the WHOLE zoo, and have a picnic!  Ellen Trout Zoo My whole family fell in live with this place! You have to go there! (If your wondering, no, I wasn't paid to place the link, just trying to be helpful.)
I have a few more ideas that I've pinned on Pinterest, follow my boards here. If you have anything that you have tried, leave a comment, tell me what you enjoyed about it!
